Thank You to Our Veteran EVANs
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, veteran unemployment rates declined from 4.3 percent to 3.7 percent in 2017. However, many U.S. veterans still face unique challenges when returning to the civilian workforce, such as disabilities, stereotyping, or lack of access to job fairs and recruiting portals.
This May, EVAN is recognizing National Military Appreciation Month, Memorial Day, and our veteran EVANs who make up approximately half of our IT specialists, most only being a few years removed from military service. We believe IT support should be quick, easy, and not buried in technical jargon. Our veteran EVANs are uniquely equipped to deliver on that promise, allowing our customers to focus on growing their business.
Service Mentality: Our veteran EVANs made a big choice to serve our country, and we find they preserve a service mentality throughout their civilian careers. They truly do want to help and act as partners with our customers. Our EVANs let customers know exactly what is going on in each step of the problem-solving process, including pricing, policies, and more to ensure our clients see long-term benefits.
Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Many of our veteran EVANs served in technical and engineering roles while in the military and have mastered thinking on their feet and adapting to unforeseen challenges. This becomes especially important in managing security issues, which require speed and a high attention to detail. Our EVANs look to provide peace of mind to clients, protecting their digital assets as if they were their own.
Respect & Discipline: We can count on our veteran EVANs to be respectful, patient, honest, and thorough throughout the onboarding process and into their customer work. This also translates into them being highly disciplined in setting aside time to be available and focused, which is key for the remote work structure of our business. Our platform is available 24/7, allowing our customers to receive the best IT support possible, any time.
Thank you to each of our veteran EVANs.
